Pat Summitt

Just this week the famous basketball coach Pat Summitt who has had an amazing career coaching the Lady Vols at the University of Tennessee announced that she  has learned she has had the beginning of symptoms for dimentia, Alzheimer's type. Pat has had a lasting influence on many of the players she coached including Kara Lawson, Tamika Catching, Candace Parker, etc. She has coached the Lady Vols to many titles over the years and has earned respect from many of her peers and fellow coaches. She decided to try and continue coaching her players this year and will rely on help from her assistants and coaching staff. I'm a big fan of the team and Pat and hope all works out for her as her and her big family fight the disease.
